Clyde & Co strengthens insurance offering with appointment of Mark Ratcliff

Mark brings more than 30 years’ experience advising insurers on complex professional indemnity and management liability matters and joins from WBD (UK) LLP. His practice spans the defence of high-value claims, coverage advice and monitoring work, with expertise in financial lines, as well as growing experience in commercial crime-related insurance issues.

Dual-qualified as both a barrister and solicitor, Mark has developed a strong reputation for supporting insurers and their insureds across a broad range of sectors. He has extensive experience working with major global insurers and has built long-standing relationships with key clients in the market.

At Clyde & Co, Mark will further strengthen the firm’s insurance practice, adding depth to its financial lines and professional indemnity capabilities. His arrival reflects the firm’s continued focus on investing in high-calibre talent and supporting clients facing increasingly complex and evolving risk landscapes.
