Clyde & Co strengthens Dublin insurance capabilities

Sinéad Lynch appointed as Head of Corporate & Regulatory Insurance for Ireland

Global law firm Clyde & Co has appointed Sinéad Lynch as Partner in its Dublin office, as Head of Corporate & Regulatory Insurance for Ireland, further strengthening the firm’s corporate and regulatory insurance capabilities in the Irish market and across its international insurance network.

Sinéad joins from A&L Goodbody, where she was a partner in the firm’s corporate practice specialising in insurance and reinsurance. Dual qualified in Ireland and England & Wales, she advises insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries, other financial services clients, investors and other stakeholders on a broad range of corporate, regulatory, advisory, transactional and crisis management matters. 

Her experience includes insurer and reinsurer authorisations, cross-border services, portfolio and business transfers, restructurings, M&A, governance, reinsurance and risk mitigation structures, outsourcing and distribution models, capital, regulatory compliance, risk management, technology and transformation, product and wider sector advisory work. She is also an ESG and sustainability expert and has significant expertise in contentious regulatory work (including white collar crime). Sinéad is recognised as a Leading Partner by Legal 500, is ranked by Chambers and has been named a global IFLR1000 Women Leader each year from 2022 to 2025.

Her arrival adds deep local market knowledge and expertise to the firm’s global platform.

The appointment builds on a strong period of growth for Clyde & Co in Dublin. It follows the recent promotion of Bernadette Raleigh to Partner and Head of Casualty in Ireland and the relocation to new premises in December amid rising client demand.

The firm is also continuing to explore further strategic recruitment opportunities in Dublin.
