Monica is a partner of our associated office in Chile, based in Santiago, head of the tax practice in Chile.
She has a vast experience in matters of tax consultancy services, tax compliance, family and individual´s estate structuring, legal advisory on auditing procedures and international taxation, merger and acquisitions and business structuring. Before joining GQM se held positions in the private and public sector. She worked as senior manager in the Tax & Legal Department of PwC, and previously spent 12 years at the Servicio de Impuestos Internos (Chilean IRS), participating in different audit processes, including the Large Taxpayer Division and the National Tax Auditing Division. Monica also participated as Chilean delegate for the Committee of Fiscal Affairs, at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). She has served as university professor of postgraduate courses on International Tax matters at the Universidad de Chile and Universidad de Santiago.
