European Product Liability Days 2026

We are very pleased to announce the next edition of Clyde & Co’s Product Liability Days, taking place from 12 November until 01 December.

Our European roadshow will take place across key European cities, bringing together legal, risk, compliance, and business leaders to discuss the future of product liability in an increasingly digital world.

As Europe, after 40 years, introduces a modernized liability framework through the new Product Liability Directive (PLD), which must be transposed into national law by 9 December 2026, companies face a fundamental shift in their risk exposure and compliance obligations. The revised regime seeks to provide claimants with increased legal protection and certainty, and is designed to reflect technological developments, extending product liability concepts beyond traditional physical goods to encompass a wide range of digital products, software, connected devices, and artificial intelligence systems.

In response to these developments, this year’s Product Liability Days with venues in France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and The Netherlands will provide both domestic and a cross-jurisdictional perspectives on the latest developments in product liability, highlighting how evolving legislation, new technologies, and emerging claims trends impact liability exposure, insurance coverage, and risk management practices.
