Janet has advised a number of clients operating in the education, energy and national resources, healthcare, hospitality and leisure, retail and consumer, real estate, trade and commodities, and technology sectors.
Janet is admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in Malaysia and is admitted to the Bar of England and Wales. She graduated with a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from the BPP University Law School in London, UK in 2013, and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of Manchester, UK in 2011.
Janet is recognised by World Tax as a Women in Tax Leader and awarded the Tax Lawyer of the Year by Lexis Nexis Middle East Women in Law for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Janet worked at one of the largest regional law firms in the Middle East for over seven years. She also worked at a global law firm in Malaysia and a Magic Circle firm in London, United Kingdom.
Janet is fluent in English and Malay.

Janet is a partner in Clyde & Co’s tax group and is based in the Dubai office. She leads the firm's Middle East tax offering. Janet advises multinational and regional corporations, private equity groups, investment funds and high net worth individuals on a broad range of tax issues including international tax structuring, tax advisory, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) tax, tax rulings and tax disputes.
