Sophia is a Counsel in the Dispute Resolution / Litigation & Arbitration practice of Clyde & Co, based in the Munich office. Her practice focuses on regulatory disputes and the representation of clients before the Courts of the European Union, on regulatory advice (including supervisory frameworks, compliance and sanctions), on dispute resolution including international commercial and post‑M&A arbitration, and on product liability and Warranties & Indemnities (W&I) disputes.
She advises and represents international and domestic clients, including insurers, reinsurers, financial institutions and commercial and industrial corporates, in contentious regulatory matters, EU administrative proceedings and complex commercial, liability and corporate disputes. Her expertise further encompasses EU regulatory frameworks, international law, and cross‑cutting themes such as ESG, human rights and the laws of armed conflict.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Sophia worked at another renowned international law firm in insurance law, commercial litigation and arbitration, and was appointed judge at the Munich Administrative Court. She was also seconded as a claims handler to an international insurance group, focusing on financial lines claims (W&I, D&O, Contingent & Litigation Risk) in the US and Europe.
