George Karayannides is an experienced advocate who represents clients in litigation and arbitration on a wide-range of complex and high-stakes business disputes, including class actions, infrastructure and construction.
George joined Clyde & Co as a partner in 2014. He was previously a partner and head of the Toronto litigation department at a leading national Canadian law firm. George has extensive domestic and international experience in a broad range of corporate and commercial disputes. Since his call to the bar in 1986, George has represented a wide range of businesses, leading multinational companies, individuals and government bodies in the energy, transportation, telecommunications, infrastructure and construction and financial sectors.
He has significant experience before Federal and Provincial Courts, as well as before arbitral (domestic and international) and administrative tribunals. George regularly works with foreign counsel on cross-border issues and disputes.
