Trevor represents insurers in coverage and liability instructions and disputes. He has particular experience in multijurisdictional and high stakes claims involving the liability of lawyers, accountants, financial services professionals, financial institutions, and directors and officers. In addition, he handles a variety of specialty insurance matters, including commercial crime, technology, contingency, business interruptions, environmental hazards, sexual abuse and pharmaceutical product liability risks. Trevor’s hallmark is thoughtful, comprehensive, practical, and tenacious client representation.

Trevor’s disputes experience has led him to advise on complex insurance arrangements and on professional practice and risk management. It has also led him to conduct claims management audits, prepare insurance risk exposure reviews, assist with underwriting endeavours, draft policy wordings, develop professional standard guidelines and teach insurance law at McGill University’s Faculty of Law. Trevor has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada for his work in insurance law and professional malpractice law for several years.

Trevor sits on Clyde & Co’s Canadian and North American Management Boards. He is also the firm’s Canadian Risk Partner and a champion for diversity and inclusion in the workplace. A native French and English speaker, he frequently speaks on insurance, professional liability, risk management, and diversity and inclusion topics nationally and internationally.
