Zil has almost a decade of experience advising on technology and telecoms matters in the Middle East, working with clients operating in a spectrum of sectors including the aviation-aerospace, healthcare, infrastructure and technology sectors. His experience includes advising clients in relation to regional projects involving cloud computing, data centers, Internet of Things (IoT), connected vehicles, technology contracting, data protection and cybersecurity, blockchain, e-commerce, digital media platforms and artificial intelligence. His experience also covers broader telecom licensing and regulatory matters, including satellite communications, submarine cable landings and interconnection.
Zil is a licensed lawyer in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and admitted to practice in Pakistan. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2017. Zil is a certified European data protection expert.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Zil worked at top-tier law firms in both the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Zil is fluent in English and Urdu.
