George joined Clyde & Co in 2010 from a US firm. He has experience of commercial disputes in the High Court and Court of Appeal and of international dispute resolution governed by arbitration rules including those of UNCITRAL, the ICC and the LCIA. George has a particular focus on the resolution of disputes within the commodities sector including under GAFTA and FOSFA trade arbitration rules.
George has advised oil and gas and other companies on a range of matters including commercial disputes and also maritime and international boundary issues often involving a contentious element. He has advised in relation to wider public international law issues in Africa and other regions. In this respect George has experience of the International Court of Justice in the Hague.
George spent six months seconded to the in-house legal department of Shell International in London. He has spoken on a number of occasions about law of the sea, oil and gas and arbitration generally.
