Mary has particular specialism in dealing with abuse and neglect cases both historic and present day involving children, the elderly and other vulnerable persons. She has experience in historic abuse multi party group actions against Local Authorities, including a Court of Appeal case involving complex limitation issues.
Mary deals with many elder care claims brought against both large and small private intuitions, as well as claims against national charities. These often involve coordinating a multi-disciplinary approach dealing with issues ranging from, criminal and regulatory prosecutions, inquests and civil claims, publicity and reputation management.
Mary's experience also includes handling multifaceted stress at work, bullying and harassment cases with human trafficking and human rights elements.
As part of Mary's varied caseload, she also handles various complex EL and PL disease claims including; asbestos related diseases, noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) and hand arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), chronic and complex regional pain claims and repetitive strain injuries.
