Simon has experience in acting for a wide range of clients, including both institutional and public investors, developers, funders and corporate occupiers. His expertise includes high value acquisitions and disposals by way of both asset and share transactions, development projects and complex asset management matters. Simon has significant experience across a range of different sectors, including residential, mixed use and industrial, with a particular emphasis on office schemes.

He previously spent 7 months on secondment in Landsec's legal team, supporting the business with transactions and issues arising from the company’s property assets.

Experience

• Advising a FTSE 100 REIT on the forward corporate purchase of an office and retail development in Oval, London, part of Berkeley Group’s regeneration scheme.
• Advising a major private equity investor on the corporate disposal of a large regional office campus held in an offshore structure.
• Advising a FTSE 100 REIT on the acquisition and development of a central London office and retail scheme, including the purchase of land from Network Rail, easement matters and rights of light releases
• Advising a large housing developer in relation to a number of significant acquisitions of land for residential development and subsequent development advice
• Advising a leading Middle Eastern bank on a corporate acquisition of a City office building held in an offshore structure, including a subsequent hive up to another jurisdiction.
• Acting for a central London landed estate on the development and pre-lettings for a central London office scheme
• Advising a major European bank in relation to a new lease of City office premises
