(Mis) Conceptions About Singapore Shipping and International Trade Law

Thursday, March 25, 2021
14.00 - 16.30

Overview

The Singapore legal system draws its roots from the English common law. There are however some areas such as contract law and the tort of negligence, where the Singapore courts have adopted a different approach. This seminar/webinar seeks to highlight these differences and explore its impact on shipping and international trade contracts, and includes a session on maritime arbitration in Singapore and how it compares with other jurisdictions.
