Webinar launch: Clyde Commentary: Thoughts on FIDIC

Overview

Since their first publication over 50 years ago, the FIDIC international standard forms of contract have been used globally on a multitude of construction projects.

These contracts not only represent the collation of decades of experience in construction and engineering, they are also intended to reflect a balanced perspective, that captures the interests of both parties involved.

To give clients a nuanced understanding of the main FIDIC contracts, the Clyde & Co Projects & Construction team are producing a series on both the 1999 and 2017 editions of the Red, Yellow and Silver Books (the FIDIC Suite). The series will explore each of the Clauses in the FIDIC Suite on a month-by-month basis and will contribute incrementally to a guide to the whole Suite. We will launch the first three Clauses this month, with each subsequent Clause being released each month thereafter, until the guide is complete.

On Thursday 8th July, to mark the launch of the first three clauses, we will be delivering a Clyde Commentary: Thoughts on FIDIC webinar, where we will be joined by FIDIC and legal experts to discuss key points from the guide and to reflect on FIDIC’s application more broadly.
