Overview

Diversity and inclusion have never been more important in the financial services sector than they are now, and it is clear that the FCA is increasingly focussing its attention on these areas. However, there are many challenges facing employers when it comes to improving diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Collating data about your workforce is a key part of any diversity and inclusion strategy. Without it, how can you understand issues and trends, track progress, highlight areas where you want to focus and inform future strategy? But how can you lawfully collect and use diversity and inclusion data under the GDPR? And how can you encourage your employees to give you what may be sensitive information that they may want to keep private? And once you understand your data and have identified the areas you want to focus on, how do you actually go about improving diversity and inclusion?

This free 60 minute webinar with Chris Holme (Partner) and Victoria Jervis (Senior Associate) from Clyde & Co LLP’s Employment team is aimed at HR professionals, in-house employment lawyers, and anyone else in PIMFA member organisations who is involved in improving diversity and inclusion within their organisation.

Agenda:

1) Review of the current landscape and direction of travel;

2) Expectations around improving diversity and inclusion in the workplace and regulatory obligations;

3) The importance of obtaining meaningful diversity data, and the difficulties involved in doing so; and

4) How to deal with under-representation and disadvantage in particular groups.
