More and more companies around the world are being required to report on sustainability. And this isn’t confined to the regulated sector – it increasingly applies to companies in other sectors that are listed or are over a certain size. Regulators are becoming more interventionist. And then there is a range of other stakeholders such as investors, employees, media, activists and the public, each with their own expectations and priorities for the company’s sustainability performance and longer-term goals. Balancing these various requirements and pressures can be challenging.
In light of this, and in the context of UK legislation, the panel will discuss:
Greenwashing Risks and Liabilities
The whistleblowing framework in the UK and its practical implications in the context of sustainability reporting
