As many businesses have been forced to make headcount reductions in the past year, the remaining employees are key – both in terms of business continuity and the knowledge of the business and customers that they hold. An organisation doesn't want to see valuable resource and knowledge walk out the door and as a result, employers now seem more willing and open to take steps to protect their legitimate interests when a key employee leaves.

In the first episode of our MEA Employment Law podcast series on key employment issues across the Middle East & Africa, employment partners Sara Khoja and Emma Higham discuss the enforcement of post-termination restrictions and protection of confidentiality by employers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
