Miriam is a regulatory and investigations lawyer with multi-jurisdictional expertise in employment and health and safety matters, as well as general commercial litigation.
Miriam is an Associate in the Regulatory & Investigations team in our Sydney office. She has been with the firm since 2018.
Miriam’s experience has given her a full perspective of the workplace landscape as she has a passion for both health and safety law and employment law. This work is of particular benefit to clients who can benefit from Miriam’s knowledge in both areas and the intersection between the two. Miriam uses her wide-ranging experience to ensure that clients are provided with both nuanced and practical advice which hits all the key issues.

Experience
Acting in relation to a claim brought in the Supreme Court of New South Wales valued at approximately $52 million for alleged breaches of contract.
Acting in relation to a claim brought in the Supreme Court of Victoria valued at approximately $10 million for alleged breaches of contract and on the basis of claims in equity.
Acting and advising in relation to three separate claims brought in the Supreme Court of Western Australia relating to breaches of fiduciary duty, contract and on the basis of claims in equity.
Acting in relation to investigations brought by regulators including State Revenue Offices, Fair Work Ombudsman and various Work Health and Safety/Occupational Health and Safety Regulators.
Acting in relation to a legally privileged investigation of an incident at a mining exploration site in WA.
Advising a number of companies across various industries, including luxury recreation and accommodation, transport, facilities management, aged and disability care, and commercial cleaning and property services, in relation to the start-to-end process for implementing a mandatory vaccination policy in the workplace, considering matters of health and safety, employment, privacy and discrimination law.
Advising a number of companies across various industries, including justice and corrections services, consultancy, insurance and specialist engineering services in relation to the ongoing impact of the pandemic, including stand downs, working from home and health and safety control measures to manage the risk of viral transmission in the workplace.
