Roya is an associate in Clyde & Co’s Dispute Resolution Group and is based in the Dubai office. She focuses on arbitration and commercial litigation and has experience in the DIFC, ADGM and onshore courts, and in DIAC/LCIA/ICC arbitrations.

Roya has advised automotive, financial institutions, hospitality, media and real estate clients on a range of commercial disputes both domestically and internationally.

Roya is an English qualified lawyer.  

Roya joined Clyde & Co in January 2016.

Experience

• Representing a luxury car manufacturer in DIFC-LCIA arbitration proceedings relating to the termination of an import agreement.
• Representing a major real estate group in relation to initiating arbitration proceedings for breach of various managements agreements.
• Advising a bank in relation to a claim against B R Shetty for a debt owed by NMC Healthcare LLC and its subsidiary. 
• Advising a major investment group in relation to fraudulent misrepresentations and recovery of bonds. 
• Advising clients in relation to their rights and liabilities under commercial agency agreements and franchise agreements in the UAE and other jurisdictions.
• Advising on enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitration awards in the UAE.
