Amr is a US qualified patent agent whose practice focuses on representing clients in all aspects of preparation and prosecution of patent applications in a number of diverse technology areas, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food industry, computer software, healthcare applications, medical devices, and telecommunications.
Amr has been a patent agent for over seven years. His practice has focused on patent drafting, US and foreign patent prosecution, and assisting in freedom-to-operate, invalidity & infringement, and patentability analyses. Throughout his career, Amr has represented a broad range of clients, including individual inventors, emerging start-up companies as well as public companies and universities.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co., he worked as a patent agent at US-based international firms where he worked on patent matters. He also held a Senior Scientist position at the University of Kansas researching in cancer biology. Amr performed his postdoctoral studies at the state-of-art Stowers Institute. He received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
Amr has published several scientific articles in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Cell and Nature Cell Biology. He presented his work at numerous scientific meetings, and has won several awards.
