Cherry is a dispute resolution and litigation lawyer and acts for insurers, corporates and individuals in relation to matters including professional indemnity (particularly lawyers, accountants, engineers and health professionals), directors' and officers' liability and general liability. She has experience assisting in investigations, inquiries, prosecutions, catastrophic claims and complex multi-party proceedings. She also has experience working in-house as a claims consultant for a third-party administrator.

Cherry was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia in 2018. She has appeared in the Magistrates Court, District Court and Supreme Court of Western Australia including on contested hearings, interlocutory hearings, assessment of damages and means inquiries.

Cherry obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and Juris Doctor from the University of Western Australia.
