Kahema is an Associate in the global Projects & Construction group with experience in both contentious and non-contentious projects and construction matters. Kahema acts for a range of clients including project consortia, service providers, contractors, developers and funders.
His non-contentious experience involves drafting various contractual documents with contractors and consultants. He also acts for project consortia on the operational aspects of PPP and PFI projects.
Kahema’s contentious experience includes High Court litigation and adjudication for domestic contractors.

- Advising a joint venture of international contractors in relation to the EPC contract for an energy-from-waste project.
- Advising lenders in respect of development finance loans related to various construction projects.
- Advising a major UK contractor in relation to adjudication proceedings related to a large commercial development in the UK.
- Preparing contractual documentation for a number of project consortia on UK PFI projects in the education sector.
- Advising a UK contractor in relation to adjudication proceedings arising from a final account dispute.
- Advising an international contractor in High Court proceedings in the Technology and Construction Court related to an EfW plant.
- Advising multiple UK developers on professional team appointments for commercial and industrial developments.
- Advising contractors on potential cladding and fire safety issues at various residential and commercial developments in the UK.
