Yuki is a litigator with experience advocating for clients in a range of commercial and insurance matters.
She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021 after completing her articles at Clyde & Co’s Toronto office. Since joining the firm, Yuki has been involved in a wide range of commercial and insurance litigation matters, including tort claims, negligence actions, contract disputes, insurance coverage, commercial liability, professional liability, and product liability. She also has a special interest in, and worked on, domestic and international commercial arbitrations.
Yuki obtained her JD from the University of Toronto, where she strengthened her advocacy skills working as a case worker in the housing division of Downtown Legal Services and a volunteer at Pro Bono Students Canada.
Prior to attending law school, Yuki obtained a master’s degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University. She worked as a junior economist at an economic consulting firm in Washington D.C., providing economic research and rigorous data analysis to clients and assistance to experts in drafting expert reports in litigation. Her economic studies gave her an important experience regarding the roles of experts in litigation, the issues they can raise, and she was also frequently engaged in damages calculations for complex commercial cases.
A native Mandarin speaker and fluent in English, very practical and always affable while thinking about the most cost-efficient ways to solve problems, Yuki is appreciated by her peers and clients for her listening and dedication.
