Cyber Risk

Between systemic risk, regulation, and the question: What will still be insurable in 2026?

Cyber risks are no longer an abstract threat—they are an operational reality. Ransomware attacks, AI-based social engineering campaigns, geopolitical tensions, and dependencies on digital supply chains are fundamentally changing the risk landscape. At the same time, loss volumes, regulatory requirements, and expectations for cyber coverage are on the rise.

Cyber insurance is thus at a turning point: caught between growth and cumulative risks, innovation and liability issues, and technological progress and systemic vulnerability. How can cyber insurance remain insurable, economically viable, and resilient at the same time?

Our Cyber Insurance partner Paul Malek together with counsel Amrei Zürn will provide a deep dive session into “Claims & Disputes – From Product Design to Underwriting to Claims Handling”, and counsel Dan Schilbach will be speaking on “Current Cyber Regulations and Their Implications for Insurance Coverage – Legal Framework, Coverage Issues, and Impact on Product Design”.
