Insurance

Although it is often said that vaping is a safer alternative to traditional cigarettes, the US saw an outbreak of vaping-related lung illness in 2019-2020, with 68 deaths being connected to the use of vaping products. Many of those afflicted were young – over half were under the age of 24.
In our webinar, we cover the potential liability issues of Vaping including:
- ongoing litigation (including public nuisance claims) alleging that e-cigarettes are unfairly marketed at minors
 - sustainability issues connected with single-use plastics
 - bodily injury and property damage arising from battery fires
 - the approach taken by national regulators, including a sales and importation ban in Australia

There are some obvious recent precedents, including tobacco litigation.
This webinar will be of interest to underwriters, claims professionals and in-house counsel in Casualty.
