UK Immigration Update – March 2025

Further to our Bulletin dated 30 January 2025, UKVI have announced additional fee increases for certain application types effective for applications submitted on or after 9 April 2025.

Those most relevant to employee sponsorship appear below. The below apply to main applicants and accompanying eligible dependents.

1. Applications submitted outside of the UK

Skilled workers - Up from £719 / £1,420 to £769 / £1,519 for Visa durations up to a maximum of 3 years and 5 years respectively, and

Specialist workers - Up from £719 / £1,420 to £769 / £1,519 for Visa durations up to a maximum of 3 years and 5 years respectively.

2. Applications submitted from within the UK / extensions

Skilled workers - Up from £827 / £1,636 to £885 / £1,751 for Visa durations up to a maximum of 3 years and 5 years respectively, and

Specialist workers - Up from £827 / £1,636 to £885 / £1,751 for Visa durations up to a maximum of 3 years and 5 years respectively.

3. Applications for Indefinite Leave to Remain

Basic application fee up from £2,885 to £3,029.

Currently, there are no planned increases to the Immigration Skills Charges, Immigration Health Surcharge or Priority Services.

Given the substantial increase of CoS Fees to £525 from £239, we recommend all eligible applications be submitted prior to the 9 April 2025 deadline.
