Meteb is a Legal Director in the Riyadh office (Projects and Construction team) with over 12 years of experience, focusing on commercial, projects, construction litigation, and arbitration disputes in Saudi Arabia.

He represents and advises international and local clients on major complex construction and commercial disputes. Meteb is considered to be one of the few lawyers to have successfully represented international clients in their disputes against the government authorities and to be one of the few lawyers to ever enforce foreign judgments and Arbitral awards in Saudi Arabia. He is a Saudi licensed bilingual lawyer and he advises clients in both Arabic and English. 

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Meteb was appointed as the legal director and board secretary of the SME Authority and was appointed by the Minister of Commerce and Investment to represent the SME Authority with the government delegation before the United Nations in Vienna and also to represent the SME Authority before the Saudi Expert Counsel.

He has published many articles in relation to Saudi laws and was mentioned in the Legal 500, Global Arbitration Review, Global Investigation Review, and was interviewed in the Korean Legal Times magazine.

Experience

• Advising and representing clients on construction and commercial-related disputes which in claims are over 6 billion Saudi Riyals.
• Representing major international clients before the Commercial Court, General Court, and Committees for the Resolution of Securities Disputes and Committee of Hearing Violations of Competition Law.
• Advising and representing a major Saudi construction company against a Chinese construction company in an arbitration construction dispute before the Dubai International Arbitration Centre.
• Advising and representing a major international company in a claim against the General Authority of Zakat & Tax.
• Representing major international clients in the arbitration proceedings and the enforcement of foreign judgment in Saudi Arabia.
• Advising and representing clients before the commercial courts in relation to shareholders and management disputes.
• Representing major clients in front of the government authorities regarding official and legal judicial matters.
