Acting for the trustees of a defined benefit pension scheme on the buy-out of the scheme liabilities with an insurance company, including the legal due diligence aspects and the terms of the buy-out agreement.
Advising an employer with a defined benefit pension scheme on the closure of the scheme to new members and on amending the benefits provided to existing members.
Acting for a contractor with employees in the electricity sector on the protected person issues arising on a transfer of employment.
Advising a number of employers on complying with the auto enrolment obligations.
