Carmen is a determined and tenacious attorney whose practice is focussed mainly on professional liability in construction matters, as well as on civil and commercial litigation.

Carmen is fluent in French and English. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Université de Montréal. After being called to the Bar in 2014, Carmen joined a full-service Quebec firm where she managed numerous complex files and pleaded frequently before the various Quebec courts and tribunals, including the Quebec Court of Appeal. Through these experiences, she was able to further familiarize herself with civil and commercial litigation matters, and more particularly, construction law, for which she has a particular fondness. Since that time, Carmen has developed a further specialization in professional liability.

Determined to obtain the best possible outcome for her clients, Carmen remains tenacious no matter the obstacles, whether by eloquent pleadings or more conciliatory methods. Her resolve to obtain the best possible result is a quality that Carmen has developed with perseverance and passion, because she is first and foremost an accomplished musician.

Until recently, Carmen was a violinist with the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Montréal, and is now its vice president of its executive committee because she enjoys being able to promote music education among youth.

Outside of work, you will surely find Carmen rehearsing one of Gustav Mahler’s symphonies for her next concert.
