Tomo assists clients with investigations concerning fraud, corruption, professional misconduct and other white-collar offences. This includes providing strategic guidance during regulatory inspections, managing interactions with enforcement agencies and developing compliance and remediation policies to address risks. Tomo also represents clients in commercial disputes, including international arbitration and Singapore court proceedings.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Tomo was a disputes associate working under a Senior Counsel in one of the Big Four firms in Singapore. He has acted for individuals and companies on complex commercial disputes at all levels of the Singapore Courts. Since he was an associate, Tomo has successfully argued several interlocutory applications before the Singapore High Court. He has also assisted clients to achieve successful outcomes in high-profile appeals such as Alternative Advisors Investments Pte Ltd v Asidokona Mining Resources Pte Ltd anor [2024] SGCA 3, where the Singapore Court of Appeal elucidated the parameters of the doctrine of contractual ratification, and Prem N Shamdasani v Management Corporation Strata Title Plan No. 0920 [2022] SGHC 280, where the Singapore High Court clarified the legal framework on when and how a subsidiary proprietor may lawfully effect improvements to their unit.
