Full Profile

Since qualifying in 2013, Laura has been involved in advising project consortia, funders, contractors and service providers on a wide range of infrastructure projects. She has strong expertise in the operational aspects of PPP projects, particularly in relation payment mechanism and unavailability issues and variations to complex PFI documentation (including extensions to project facilities, advising on consequences of NHS Trust mergers, interfaces with multiple stakeholders, major changes to the provision of services, savings initiatives and efficiencies, the replacement of sub-contractors, and streamlining the lender approval process under finance documents).

Laura's advice looks to bring efficiencies and value for money initiatives to projects, and she regularly hosts training workshops for her clients across a range of issues, including risk management in operational projects, risk allocation for latent defects, procurement challenges to project variations, improving efficiencies, and handback of projects.

Laura is recommended in Chambers as an ‘Associate to Watch’ where it is said that “She's developing into a force to be reckoned with. She is willing to put clients' needs first and is a clear, concise communicator.”

Within the firm, Laura is a member of GECCO (gender equality at Clyde & Co) and ACED (achieving cultural and ethnic diversity).
