Sophie is an associate in Clyde & Co’s Montreal office. She has a litigation practice focusing on professional and civil liability, as well as commercial litigation. She was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2020 after having completed her articling with Clyde & Co and to the Ontario Bar in 2021.
Sophie has a keen interest in complex legal issues and is determined, curious and thoughtful. She approaches each file with the same attention to detail, while maintaining a sense of perspective that allows her to keep the client’s best strategic interests in mind.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil law from the University of Sherbrooke, where she made the Dean’s List for academic excellence, as well as a Juris Doctor in common law from Queen’s University and a Master of Laws from the University Queen Mary of London in International Business Law.
During the course of her studies, Sophie volunteered with the Queen’s University Legal Aid Clinic, worked with a renowned insurance law professor at the University of Sherbrooke and clerked with Justice Lamarche of the Superior Court of Montreal. She also represented Queen’s University in the Laskin National Moot Court Competition and was rewarded with her team winning first place for the quality of its appeal factum.
When she’s not in the office, Sophie can be found on the ski slopes.
