Jennifer Davis

Prior to joining Clyde & Co in July 2021, Jennifer acted as in-house counsel for a major energy company, advising on the construction of two new nuclear projects in the UK. Jennifer also has previous experience working in the Construction team at a major UK law firm, advising on a range of projects.

Jennifer has particular experience in the energy, defence and transport infrastructure sectors, acting for both employers and contractors, in the public and private sectors. On the transactional side, Jennifer has experience negotiating with a range of domestic and international parties under the NEC, JCT and FIDIC suites of contracts. She also has experience advising on contract management, construction adjudications, mediations and international arbitration.

Experience

• Advised the developer of a £20bn new nuclear project, on multiple international supply chain procurements (in particular NEC3 and FIDIC suites contracts), and on a wide range of contract management and dispute resolution matters.
• Advised an international energy contractor on its complex O&M arrangements on a number of biomass projects in Europe and Africa.
• Acted on multiple adjudications and provided contract management advice for a Tier 1 contractor on a major highways project, on the NEC3 suite (PSC, ECC).
• Underwent a 6 month secondment with a major offshore wind contractor, supporting its EPCM procurement functions. 
• Advised a public authority in relation to a major re-procurement of facilities management services, based on NEC3 and bespoke call-off contracts.
• Acted for a large UK contractor on the complex supply chain procurement (based on NEC4) in relation to its appointment under a major defence framework.
• Acted for a housing contractor on several disputes with its subcontractors, including an adjudication, insolvency proceedings and TCC enforcement action.
• Acted for a housing contractor on a complex adjudication against an Employer on a large-scale recladding project.
• Acted for Project Co on a TCC litigation for a major hospital PFI construction project.
