Roberta is an associate specialising in international dispute resolution who joined Clyde & Co in 2013.
Roberta works on a broad range of contentious matters and has experience in international arbitrations, mediations and litigation in the English Courts. Roberta’s work is quite evenly split between international arbitration and commercial court litigation. Roberta has particular experience in commercial disputes in the energy and construction sector and has worked on a number of disputes involving offshore and onshore contracts relating to the operation and construction of energy facilities around the globe. Roberta also has significant experience working on a broad range of general commercial disputes and claims relating to bribery and fraud.
Roberta's work is often high-value and multi-jurisdictional and she works with international clients, both states and companies, based in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and in the United States. Roberta has been involved in ad hoc and institutional arbitrations, including arbitrations governed by the LCIA, UNCITRAL, ICC, PCA and GAFTA rules.

Advising and acting for a UK energy company regarding the interruption of the supply of natural gas from a North Sea field under a depletion gas supply contract. Total claims in excess of £85million, against four global energy companies
Advising and acting for a State in an ad hoc arbitration worth in excess of US$18 million governed by the UNCITRAL rules concerning a dispute arising from a contract related to a State-wide power generation project
Acting for a State in an ICC arbitration worth in excess of US$8 million concerning a dispute arising from a contract related to a State-wide power generation project
Acting for a major international oil & gas industry contractor in a USD 115 million LCIA arbitration concerning a dispute in relation to the construction and commissioning of an oil and gas Early Production Facility in North Kuwait
Advising and acting for a global aviation company concerning commercial disputes (involving commercial court litigation and LCIA arbitrations) in relation to multiple global contracts. Total claims in excess of £50million.
Acting for a Swiss company in relation to a USD 3 million GAFTA arbitration concerning a dispute that arose from a series of contracts for the purchase and supply of grain
Acting for a State in a USD 500 million telecommunications ICC arbitration involving issues of Dubai public policy
Acting for a major corporate in respect of allegations of bribery and breach of fiduciary duties
Acting for a global aviation company in respect of a challenge brought against an LCIA Award under s67 and s68 Arbitration Act 1996 in the Commercial Court.
