Full Profile
Rebecca is a construction and engineering lawyer, specialising in transactional construction work, with a focus on international projects.
She reviews, drafts and negotiates bespoke and standard form construction contracts (including those based on FIDIC, NEC and JCT), professional appointments, security instruments and ancillary documentation. In addition, she provides strategic advice to clients at the procurement stage and during the construction and operational stages of projects. While Rebecca primarily has experience acting for principals and main contractors, she has also acted for subcontractors, consultants, financiers and receivers and managers. She has worked on projects in a number of jurisdictions, including the United Kingdom, Australia and the Middle East, and across a wide variety of sectors.
Despite her specialism in transactional construction work, Rebecca also has experience in contentious work, having advised clients on a number of major construction disputes. Her experience includes providing strategic advice on managing claims for significant construction projects in Australia, adjudication under the Australian security of payment legislation and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
Rebecca is an Australian Legal Practitioner. Having obtained her qualifications in Queensland, Australia and been admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2011, she currently holds a Western Australian Practising Certificate.
