Roxanne joins Clyde & Co as a Special Counsel in our Sydney office with over 14 years’ experience in employment law, industrial relations and litigation as well as UK immigration, asylum and human rights. Having gained significant experience in specialist employment law firms as well as in-house, Roxanne has a track record of assisting her clients in navigating and solving workplace relations issues.

Roxanne has also spent several years working in the UK, where she advised clients on complex asylum cases and appeals, UK immigration and human rights.

Her core focus is on achieving commercially sustainable solutions for her clients within the complex legislative framework governing their workplaces and mitigating against disputation across the whole employment life cycle. 

Experience
  • Successfully advised a client in the retail industry on the negotiation and approval of an enterprise agreement where the employee bargaining representatives pursued a protected action ballot.
  • Managed a lengthy investigation and the associated outcomes of a harassment and bullying complaint made against two staff members in a large sporting organisation.
  • Assisted a client in the health care industry manage employee grievances and in its defence of several unfair dismissal claims.
  • Advised a client in the aged care industry on the correct interpretation of employee entitlements under their industrial instruments, resulting in extensive back payments and assisted the client in self-reporting to the Fair Work Ombudsman.
  • Assisted a logistics client with their employee relations strategy, resulting in them winning a tender for work on a major project.
  • Assisted a hospitality client with its negotiation of a enterprise agreement and the provision of extensive undertakings
