Eva-Maria has been practicing as an insurance lawyer since 2002. She advises non-life insurers and reinsurers in their book of business. Her main focus is on liability defense work including personal injury, monitoring counsel (financial lines and coverage advise) and coverage support for property/specialty insurers such as CAR/EAR, (contingent) business interruption, fine art and valuables, political risk, legal cost insurance. She guides her clients through major and/or complex claims as well as subrogation procedures. Drawing experience from claims settling she also supports business development drafting terms and conditions as well as individual policies and in-house teams on regulatory matters.

Eva-Maria is recognised as a leading lawyer for insurance by Chambers Europe, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal, highlighting “her wealth of experience advising on financial lines insurance, liability disputes and complicated policy issues” (Who’s Who Legal Germany, 2022). In 2022 she has been awarded a “Rising Star” for insurance litigation by Legal 500 EMEA.
