Heather regularly provides coverage advice and litigation support to insurers in a broad range of areas, including commercial general liability, financial and professional services, including architects and engineers, property, product liability and directors' and officers' insurance. Heather also specializes in issues affecting the insurance industry from provincial and federal regulatory matters and intermediary licensing to product design and development for insurers, agencies, brokerages, third party administrators and service contract providers. Heather's experience with both business, wording and claims issues enable her to provide unique insight to her insurance industry clients.

She was recently selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers™ in Canada 2021 in the field of Insurance Law.

  • Advising on the nuclear liability regime in Canada.

  • Assisting a Bermuda-based insurer in establishing a Canadian branch office.

  • Advising US and London based insurers on regulatory issues in Canada, including review of policy wordings.
