Juan Garrido handles complex civil litigation matters with a focus on products liability, general liability and catastrophic personal injury cases. He is involved in all phases of the litigation process, from pre-litigation claims, discovery, and motion practice, through mediation and trial. Juan also represents developers, general contractors and subcontractors in construction defect suits, as well as engineers and architects in professional liability matters in state and federal courts.
Juan also represents and advises insurers and companies in a variety of matters, including, products liability, wrongful death, and employment cases in Puerto Rico.

Castillo-Carrasco et al v. Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, et al., Case No.: 3:21-cv-01049-DRD (D. P.R. 2021). Represented a commercial boiler manufacturer in alleged wrongful death asbestos case and obtained dismissal based on lack of personal jurisdiction.

Galati v. Barceló Gestión Hotelera, S.L., Case No.: 1:20-cv-22002-KMW (S.D. Fla. 2020) Dismissed alleged traumatic brain injury case against a foreign hotel operator on personal jurisdiction grounds.
- Successfully represented the developer of a luxury condominium against breach of contract, FDUTPA and warranty claims in a lawsuit filed by a unit owner.
- Successfully represented an engineering firm in a pre-suit claim filed by a municipality, alleging negligent design of a water treatment plant.
