Kirsty has nine years of experience advising employers on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious Employment Law issues, most notably in relation to: defending claims for unfair dismissal and constructive unfair dismissal; handling and defending complex discrimination based issues; dealing with misconduct and disciplinary issues, including dismissals; managing restructures and advising on redundancies; advising clients on compliance with the TUPE Regulations; changing employee terms and conditions; handling workplace disputes and employee grievances; and negotiating efficient and economic exits and settlements.
Kirsty has advocacy experience in the Employment Tribunal in Scotland and England as well as in the Sheriff Court. She has successfully defended claims for unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, redundancy, breach of contract, race discrimination, disability discrimination and whistleblowing.
