Full Profile

Samuel is a bilingual lawyer whose practice focuses on privacy, cybersecurity and confidentiality incident response. As a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C), he offers in-depth expertise in the personal information protection field. Samuel’s professional credentials demonstrate his versatility, as he has been called to the bar in Ontario (2020), Québec (2022) and New York (2022).

His academic journey began at the University of Montréal, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 2015. During that period, Samuel completed an exchange program at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po Paris), where he pursued a Certificate in Social Sciences and Humanities in 2014. He then obtained a Bachelor of Civil Law at the University of Montréal in 2018. As part of a combined program, he also obtained a Juris Doctor in North American Common Law that same year. While in law school, Samuel was awarded the President’s Scholarship from the University of Montréal’s Law Co-op program, an honour that acknowledges the students’ general involvement and the promotion of cooperation. In addition, he has completed courses at the Investment Funds Institute of Canada and the Canadian Securities Institute in 2021 and 2022.

Samuel’s approach is shaped by his extensive international background. From volunteering in Nepal and contributing to legal aid work in Bangladesh, to studying law in China and litigating human rights cases as a volunteer legal advisor in Haiti, his global experience is reflected in his work. More recently, he has been representing vulnerable populations before Ontario’s administrative and judicial tribunals.

Samuel is a passionate outdoors enthusiast who enjoys long-distance hiking and exploring film and music festivals in his spare time. Always staying informed of current events and developments, he is an avid reader and podcast listener.
