Cheryl Harris counsels her clients on business interruption claims on commercial property policies due to COVID-19 and is handling ongoing litigation relating to these matters. She assists clients on typical first-party coverage issues of civil authority and physical damage coverages. Cheryl’s experience includes time spent practicing in London, where she handled multi-national litigation and arbitration cases. She analyzes claims and advises clients on existing contracts, including drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements. Cheryl has also served as monitoring and coverage counsel for major insurance companies on private equity services disputes, director’s and officer’s coverage issues, class actions, and anti-trust litigation. She also has prior experience in financial investigation, fraud, and appeals. 

Before entering private practice, Cheryl was an assistant district attorney for the Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County, and a book editor for the late Judge William Daniel, Fulton County Superior Court.
