Nicola specialises in commercial and financial disputes before the DIFC Courts, and has acted on a number of high profile cases. Nicola advises companies and insolvency practitioners on insolvency-related matters, including advising on process and acting on claims made, or being assessed by, liquidators, administrators or receivers. Nicola also advises on DFSA investigations and regulatory disputes.
Nicola acted for the Central Bank of Bahrain in her previous firm's capacity as external administrator of The International Banking Corporation (TIBC) and advised on a wide range of litigation across various jurisdictions, including claims for fraud and breach of contract.
Nicola has extensive experience acting for both local and international clients on commercial and financial disputes before courts and tribunals in the UAE, Bahrain, Oman and Saudi Arabia, with a particular focus on arbitrations (ICC, LCIA, GCCCAC, Oman Arbitration Act) involving parties from or with interests in the Middle East
