Andy has a particular focus on real estate finance with over 9 years' experience advising lenders and borrowers across the market on real estate backed financing transactions, including acquisition, investment and development financings (single loans, senior/mezzanine loans), refinancings, bridging facilities, acquisitions and disposals of non-performing real estate loans, as well as real estate finance restructuring and security enforcement. He advises on all major real estate asset classes and across a number of sectors including offices, hotels, care homes, industrial, data centres, retail, residential and student accommodation. He is noted as a key lawyer for real estate finance in the 2020 UK Legal 500.
Acting for a joint venture (comprising Hong Kong property investors and UK developer) on a £185m term loan facility from a US real estate fund to finance the development of a mixed use office building in the City of London.
Acting for a luxury hotel group in connection with the £183m refinancing of its group facilities by a global bank secured on 16 luxury hotels across the South West of England.
