Qiao has extensive experience in both transactional and dispute matters related to the energy sector (particularly in the areas of oil and gas), regularly advising major Chinese SOEs on their international energy and infrastructure development investments, cross-border financings, joint ventures, and restructuring in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia. He also has special knowledge and experience in enforcing foreign arbitral awards in China.

Qiao is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN, now the AIEN).
