Antoine has particular experience working on investment arbitration proceedings under ICSID and UNCITRAL rules, inter-State proceedings before international bodies, such as the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) and the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR), as well as international commercial arbitration cases under ICC and ad hoc rules. He has also represented sovereign States in arbitration-related matters before French courts. In addition, Antoine has provided advice to governments in the field of international law.  

Antoine is experienced in the energy and infrastructure sectors with a specific focus on Africa.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Antoine was an associate with the International Arbitration practice of a leading U.S. law firm in Paris.

Antoine is admitted to the Paris Bar. He graduated from the Université de Caen Basse Normandie and earned a Master degree from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in International Commercial Law and International Arbitration.

Antoine speaks English and French.

  • Counsel to an African State in an ICSID arbitration concerning real estate developments and the designation of the Le Morne area as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Counsel to an African State in two proceedings before the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights related to detention of prisoners of war, human rights and counter-terrorism issues.
  • Advisor, in association with the OIF (“Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie”) and the World Bank, to several African States in the negotiation of Public-Private Partnerships with a focus on dispute resolution.
  • Counsel to a South Asian State in an UNCITRAL investment arbitration arising from a contract concerning the supply and operation of cargo handling equipment.
  • Counsel to an Eastern European State in an ICSID arbitration arising from the failure of a commercial bank.
  • Counsel to a South-East Asian State in an arbitration pursuant to Annex VII of the United Nations Convention Law of the Sea regarding maritime jurisdiction.
  • Counsel to a South American State in set aside proceedings before the Paris Court of appeal of a billion-dollar award.
  • Counsel to a French company in two parallel arbitration proceedings (ICC seated in New York and ad hoc seated in Paris) related to a transfer of technology in the defense and civil sectors.
