Mark specialises in commercial dispute resolution with particular expertise in the shipping, commodities and marine insurance sectors and regularly advises first class shipowners, P&I Clubs and traders. He also runs the Clyde & Co demurrage team.

Mark served at sea on a variety of vessels, including offshore vessels, oil, chemical, LPG/ LNG tankers, general cargo ships and bulk carriers. He advises on technical issues arising within the shipping / offshore market and helps resolve disputes under contracts and charterparties relating to demurrage, ship performance claims and unsafe ports.

Mark has extensive experience of international arbitration in various forums including LCIA and LMAA and litigation in the Commercial and Mercantile Courts, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court in London.

Mark is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), supporting member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA) and on the database of LCIA arbitrators. He also holds a diploma in Domestic Arbitration.
