Sanchez joined Clyde & Co in 2017 as a trainee solicitor in the Hong Kong office and stayed on as an associate in the Professional & Financial Disputes Department.  Most of her work centres on cases of commercial disputes, professional liability litigation and non-contentious insurance work. 

Sanchez has experience working on multi-jurisdictional accounting negligence claims involving regulatory investigations of accountants and construction professionals, acting for defence insurers.  She also has experience advising on coverage to insurers.

Sanchez is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.  She regularly delivers training seminars regarding corporate governance and other regulatory updates to directors of companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in these languages.

Experience

• Professional indemnity defence: accountants – assisting in defending claims against auditors for the audit of a public listed company arising out of an alleged failure to detect fraud by former management
• Professional indemnity defence: accountants – assisting in advising auditors of a listed company in a multijurisdictional claim for alleged failure to detect fraud by use of intermediaries
• Professional indemnity defence: construction professionals – assisting in advising a firm of structural engineers in a claim for allegedly negligent services in relation to deficient drawings
• Professional indemnity defence: construction professionals – assisting in advising insured developers on their liability in delays to a construction project involving break-ins and various remedial works and design issues
• Insurance coverage – assisting in advising insurer on coverage of construction all risks policy in relation to damages brought by Typhoon Mangkhut
• Insurance coverage – assisting in advising insurer on scope of notification of claims
• Insurance coverage –assisting in advising insurer on coverage of school liability policy arising out of accident  to student at insured school
