Full Profile

Claire is a Senior Associate in the global Projects and Construction group with a focus on non-contentious construction work and PPP/PFI projects. Claire acts for a range of clients including project consortia, service providers, funders, employers and contractors both domestically and internationally and has experience with JCT, FIDIC and NEC construction contracts, as well as bespoke forms of agreement.

Experience

• Advising a number of project companies on operational variations to UK hospitals and housing PFI projects.
• Advising a project company on the replacement of a facilities management provider at a hospital PFI project.
• Advising an employer on an EPC contract in relation to a wax plant in North America.
• Undertaking a due diligence exercise for a domestic contractor following an internal restructuring exercise.
• Preparing building contracts and professional team appointments for a number of developers.  
• Preparing a concession agreement (based on the Sports England template) in relation to the development of a new leisure centre and redevelopment of an existing leisure centre for a local authority. 
• Preparing and negotiating a remedial works agreement, a project agreement deed of variation, a settlement agreement and ancillary documents in relation to an infrastructure PFI dispute. 
• Advising on and preparing trade contracts on different phases of a high-profile mixed-use development in Battersea.
