Before joining the new office of Clyde & Co in Hamburg, Julia worked for an international shipping law firm and a leading international transport insurer. During her time at the insurance company, she handled the recourse actions under cargo policies and gained a broad experience in relation to the liability regulations for all means of transport. Giving this experience, Julia has great insights into the marine insurance business.

Julia advises international insurance companies in all matters related to cargo and hull policies, including claims handling and recourse actions. Her practice in transport and shipping matters encompasses legal advices for ship owners, charterers and transport companies in relation to contracts of carriage and charterparties. Her experience includes advices in general contractual matters and on liability disputes. She represents her clients in court and arbitration proceedings.
